Emma grew up in Winchester, VA and graduated from The College of William and Mary in two very people oriented fields: Psychology and Religious Studies. She found her place in the veterinary world long after declaring her original degree concentration (she likes to credit her allergy-prone boxer mix for that) but considers an appreciation of human nature to be a solid foundation for the field. After all, she is passionate about helping both the animals she meets as well as the humans who love and care for them.
Emma is currently a veterinary technician-in-training who is working actively toward her ultimate goal of becoming a doctor of veterinary medicine.
Her passion rolls over into her private life as she spends much of her time pet sitting and fostering orphaned kittens. She jokes with Pet Connect Rescue that she’s running her own Bottle Baby Academy. She loves collecting old books and going antiquing. She’s a proud homebody- some may call it boring but she calls it peaceful.
